I’ve mentioned before that I am lucky enough to live near one of the Great Lakes and thus, by a few beaches. As much as I enjoy walking the beach – at times I need to keep my hands and mind busy, so I will build sand castles.
There’s something to be said about filling a bucket with sand and a little water, making a mold and seeing a castle start to form. You don’t need special tools or molds, just a few plastic bowls or storage containers. Soon you’ll see that you can create a small masterpiece, before the tide comes in and swipes it away.
I also am quite tactile and like to feel the sand in my hands. It feels good to me; cool and gritty. It even helps to exfoliate my hands, leaving them smooth and soft.
So, if you’ve got the ability to visit the beach – don’t forget a few “tools” to help you build a sandcastle or two!
