I count myself among the lucky…I live near one of the Great Lakes and have the opportunity to take walks on the beach, when I may want or need them. There’s something about the sand in between my toes that automatically relaxes me, not to mention the rhythmic sound of the waves hitting the shore.
Along with the sand and surf, there’s the sun, which brings along Vitamin D and properties of warmth (usually!).
If you’re lucky like me and can get to a beach, don’t hesitate; pack a beach bag and go! Spending just a half hour can give you the relaxation that you may need from your daily routine.
